Charlotte Fleck

Charlotte Fleck holds an MFA from the Advanced Acting Program at the American Conservatory Theatre and BA in English and Theatre from the University of NC at Chapel Hill. She has taught for New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (Graduate Acting Program), The Actors Center, Michael Howard Studios, The Chekhov Studio (NYU), Playwrights Horizons Theater School (NYU), Collaborative Arts Project 21 (NYU), and Barnard College. Her speech and dialect consulting credits include the recent award-winning production of Ruined at Manhattan Theatre Club and the Goodman Theatre, as well as other productions at MTC, including The American Pilot, Defiance, A Picasso, Iron and Yellowman. Other theatre coaching credits include: Broadway: Translations, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Absurd Person Singular, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Miss Saigon; Lincoln Center: Ah Wilderness!; Public Theater: The Brothers Size, Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk; Soho Rep: Blasted; The Pearl Theatre: Vieux Carre, as well as productions at The Women’s Project, Urban Stages, McCarter Theatre, Wilma Theatre, Williamstown Theater Festival, Hartford Stage Company, Berkshire Theater Festival,and Long Wharf Theatre. Her film and television coaching credits include: TV: The Closer (dialect consultant for Kyra Sedgwick); Kings; Life on Mars; The Cashmere Mafia; The Jury; Pont of Origin; The Summer of Ben Tyler, The Story of Ruby Bridges; Film: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice; Salt; 2012; Julie and Julia; Wanted; Synecdoche, NY; An Education; The Guitar; Awake; Talk to Me; Across the Universe; The DaVinci Code; Firewall; Garden State; Behind Enemy Lines; Insomnia; The Reckoning; Secret Window; The Song Catcher; O Brother Where Art Thou; Requiem for a Dream. Charlotte is originally from South Carolina and now lives in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with her husband and son.
